Guilders Weave (GW) is an adult weaving event hosted by Tidewater Basketry Guild of Virginia beginning Thursday evening, January 11,  2024 and continuing through early afternoon Sunday, January 14, 2024 To register as a member you must belong to one of the following guilds: The Basket Bunch, Central Pennsylvania Basketry Guild, Deer Creek Basketry Guild, High Country Basketry Guild, Tri-State Basketry Guild, or Tidewater Basketry Guild. Guild membership must be current at the time of the event. Others may sign up during open registration after the deadline for guild members has passed.

“Silver Jubilee of Woven Memories”

Guilders’ Weave is right around the corner! Make sure to look over the fabulous selection of classes for January! Make sure to look over the GW 24 General Information and GW Policies and Procedures. There is some new information included! 

This is our 25th weekend of weaving together – our “Silver Jubilee of Woven Memories!” We are excited to welcome new GW teachers: Becky Butler, Jenny Elzy, Karen Kotecki, Pam Philpott, Cheryl Thomas, and Debbie Wilson! We are equally excited to welcome back our returning friends: Peggy Adelman, Candy and Dave Barnes, Jan Beyma, Jane Brinkman, Pati English, Rose Glen, Karen Maugans, Barbara McCormick, Rami McKinney, Pam Milat, Becki Newsome, Kathy Petronzio,  Jamie VanOekel, and Judy Wobbleton!  And we are so proud to also welcome returning teacher, Anne Bowers, who is the only person (student or teacher) that has attended every one of our 25 conventions - and as a teacher at each one!!! Please say a special “thank you” to her!

Make sure to follow the registration guidelines! We are looking forward to seeing you all! As a reminder… your registration pays for two lunches and the dinner banquet. That registration fee is the same as last year’s fee!

Also, please consider staying at the Marriott! We receive all of the meeting spaces included at no cost as long as we can support the Marriott with enough booked rooms – which helps to keep registration costs down. Please use the link below to book your room by December 10th for GW 24! The discounted room rates are good from Wednesday, January 11 through Monday, January 15, 2024.
