Guilders Weave (GW) is an adult weaving event hosted by Tidewater Basketry Guild of Virginia beginning Thursday evening, January 15, 2026 and continuing through early afternoon Sunday, January 18, 2026.

7/10/25 CHANGES TO GUILDERS' WEAVE 2026!! PLEASE READ!!
During the last couple of meetings that the TBG board held, we have voted to update our Guilders' Weave policies. This will include one major change to registration. We have reached our maximum number of "people" that the Marriott banquet room can accommodate and in order for us to honor our current TBG members, you are now required to be a paid, in good standing, member of Tidewater Basketry Guild to be included in the first round of class picks. The postmark date for GW registration will remain September 1st, (this year GW26 will be Sept.2nd because of the Labor Day holiday).
The GW chair will review each application postmarked Sept. 1st and sort out all current TBG members. They will be put in the first round of drawings. If you are not a member of TBG, your postmarked Sept. 1st (this year GW26 will be Sept.2nd because of the Labor Day holiday) application will go in the second round of class drawings. All applications received with a postmark of Sept. 1 (this year GW26 will be Sept.2nd because of the Labor Day holiday). will be drawn next, with TBG members getting drawn first, followed by non-TBG members, followed by postmarks in daily order thereafter.
You DO NOT need to be an active/current TBG member to attend Guilders' Weave, but, if you want in the first round of class drawings, it will be to your advantage to become a member.
Our membership dues are $25 for the first year and $20 each year thereafter. Membership runs October 1st through September 30th.
Keep in mind, with your paid membership, you are welcome to attend any of our events and classes. Check out our calendar on the TBG website, http://www.tidewaterbasketryguild.org/.
