Billy is a second generation White Oak basket maker from the Ozark Hills of South West Missouri. He and his Dad owned and operated a basket shop in Branson, MO for several years. Now Billy travels full time teaching White Oak basket making at conventions and workshops all over the country.

Made of hand split White Oak, this tote has a 4" x 15" Woven Oak bottom, is approximately 13" deep and has 2 braided leather handles. All the material is from trees I have personally selected, cut and prepared by hand with a homemade tool my dad made and used called a split knife. Special tools: Sharp scissors and a dull butter knife to be used as an Awl.

Made of hand split White Oak, this basket has a 9" x 15" Woven Oak herringbone bottom, is approximately 8 1/2" deep exclusing the handle. All the material is from trees I have personally selected, cut and prepared by hand with a homemade tool my dad made and used called a split knife. Special tools: Sharp scissors and a dull butter knife to be used as an Awl.
